The Wedding Reception

Thank you for the feature of my French Piano Bench at The Graphic Fairy!

The morning of the wedding and the beginning of the decorating.
We decided to place the tent at the end of the yard so we can enjoy the beautiful greenery.

The Before

The After
Waiting for the guest book to arrive!

I used my handmade moss D for the center of the pavilion. This is where the dancing will be. I used Martha Stewart's pom poms for the center of the fan to add a dressed up look to it.

The centerpieces were simple and elegant with crystal goblets with peonies and raffia to tone it down from being too dressy.

Every other chair had a tulle bow with fresh flowers inserted for color.
The food was great and the presentation even better. I got to hang one of my chandeliers over the tables. It added the perfect touch.
I made a chalkboard menu and placed it on an easel. I left out the Italian vegetable medley ...oops.

I set up seating all over the yard to spread people around.
This grouping had shutters as a faux wall and an antique frame in the center. I had a beautiful picture to put there but was worried about the rain....darn outdoor parties!

The ladies brought out the cakes. In the background another grouping, an old column with my ampersand on the ground.

The cake was delicious! Since this was her second marriage she did not do traditional. I loved to see something different!
I am so glad we had the tent to shelter the sun. I set up a bar out of my shed that connected to the tent. It worked out great!

Adding curtains to the sides of the open garage door transformed the space. You forgot you were standing at a shed. The bartender got to enjoy air conditioning too!

As the sun was setting we danced into the night.

The happy couple really got to enjoy themselves.
Since I was in charge I didn't get many pictures of me and my sister. I did however get one at the rehearsal dinner and one with my nieces at the wedding!

As much as I like designing and decorating, I am glad I don't have to do weddings for a living! God Bless those that do! It is a lot of work!
I hope you have enjoyed this little glimpse.

I can't wait to get back to my regular blogging now!
