Vintage Marketplace Excursion

I live about 40 minutes from Hendersonville, Tennessee where The Vintage Marketplace is being held. My friend Mary and I decided to get there early so we can see all the great things that are available. The thought of fighting traffic during the morning commute weighed heavily on our mind due to that fact we would have to leave a 5am to avoid this!

So we did what any other normal person would do.....we left the night before and rented a hotel!! LOL

We had a blast and laughed all night, We looked at all of your blogs as an "opener" for the event! You know, something to get us excited before we went. The problem was it didn't take much to get our mind set on creating.

We laughed till we dropped at 4am and awoke at 7am to get ready for the day. The adrenaline kept us going. There was sooooo much eye candy and inspiration.

To the right there were booths of Antiques and to the left was all vintage.

I loved this birdhouse/shelf!

OMG! This red sink was to die for!!!!

Beautiful vintage buttons in every color imaginable!

Handmade fashions! Mary modeling a beautiful jacket made from a lace tablecloth.

Fruit chandelier

Something on my list to make in the future! Love the addition of branches

Everything was sooo cute! We left there with our mind going crazy from all the inspiration. We can't wait to create something wonderful!

I have some exciting news coming up and I can't wait to share it with all of you!

There are only a few days left for the giveaway!

My girlfriend and I were there on Friday. Which day did you go? We had a blast too! We had to drive 3.5 hours to get there and drove over Thursday night....it was wonderful! We also went to Franklin and did some shopping there...LOVE that town!!

Wish I had known you were going, it would have been great to meet you!

Ooooo....why are all the good things so far away??? Looks like tons of wonderful goodies all over the place. I agree - that birdhouse is wonderful...that would likely have come home with me! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Hi Deneen,

Wish we lived closer - would love to hit some of the great markets like this one with you. I adored the dining table you painted in the light antique pedestal base - cannot wait to see how you handled the chairs!

I just added a page for links to my blog, and had to include your site to spread the inspiration.

Hope to hook up with you again soon [maybe when HGTV picks up Layla & The Lettered Cottage!]

Best to you,
Donna
