Woke up to This!

I have to say that it has been dreary most of the month of January. Tennessee never gets a lot of snow, which I am glad about the older I get. We do however get bad storms. 13 tornadoes touched down the other day! I am thinking about redoing the closet under my stairs since we spend more time there now trying to keep safe from storms.

So this morning I awoke to a beautiful site. Although I can't wait for spring to get here, and it can snow once and leave, I actually enjoyed the brightness the layer of white gave. The leaves caught it and everything glistened.

Someone else liked it too! He was actually scared at first lol. He wasn't used to it.

I love how he looks against the white backdrop. See the snow falling?

Then he gave his cute Santa impression! He is so talented!

And we just discovered he is a Flat Coat lab. When we adopted him we just thought he was a lab mix. My daughter research it and discovered pictures that look just like him. They were all Flat Coat Labs.
Funny we don't really care. We love him anyway!

Unfortunately never heard back from the winner so I had to select another.

What a gorgeous dog. He does look wonderful against the pure white snow too. Dogs can really light up a families life. I can't imagine being without one. Stay safe from those storms!

Your dog is so cute. I've never heard of a flat coat lab but it's good to know. We have a lab mix, adopted him at 1 yr. at a PetSmart adoption Fair. He's 4 now. We think he's a black lab/border collie, his mouth area keeps getting whiter and whiter. He's so smart, loving, loyal, funny. He has a tail like your dog but not as fuzzy all over. They are such dear babies. Ours loves the snow, he runs around with his nose covered quite often and we do get alot of snow. It's melted now mostly after a warm spell but we had weeks and weeks of very cold stuff. Was maybe about 10-15 during the day and way below zero at night. We lived in KY before Grand Junction, CO area (we live about 18 miles west of G.J.) We lived north of Bowling Green about 32 miles out in country. Had quite a bit of snow there also. Before KY we lived in Mt, now we really had snow and very cold there. Before MT we lived in San Diego area for 21 yrs. I'm a bit of a gypsy and would get a wild hair to move someplace. The biggest mistake we made was leaving MT. I still miss it and would go back.

I love the pic with the dog in the back with the fence...it's almost like a black and white! He's really pretty! I've heard of that kind of lab....lab's make great pets, they are so friendly and easy going.
