You know how much I like changing things up!
I bought this adorable metal pickup truck.
It reminds me of my husband's family farm.
We used to go 4 wheeling in the winter. Riding through all the creeks and into the back woods.
There is something about the smell in the air in the winter.....
We would be out for hours, playing!
But we never cut down a tree for Christmas.
I kinda feel a little deprived.
Growing up we always had an artificial one and I still do.
I love the smell of the fresh pine but cannot have it in my home because of allergies.
Maybe that is why I wanted to create this.
It reminds me of simpler days....
One of my favorite movies is Sound of Music. Carrie Underwood is playing Maria in a live version soon.
Tough shoes to fill!
At Christmastime, when the music plays, I love to hear "My Favorite Things"
It makes me appreciate all the little things around me that I usually pass by.
I try and stop.
Take it all in.
Last year I wrote about My Favorite Things of the Year. You can read all about it. I will be doing it again this year.
because in this hustle and bustle, we need to realize that it is all the small things that mean so much
So I filled the little metal truck with brown paper packages tied up with string
tied a tree and wreath to the top
and pictured driving down the dirt road seeing the deer nibble on the grass
I think this would make a great Christmas Centerpiece for a table.
Just adding a little touches here and there transformed this into a story
So go ahead and make some Christmas cookies and start telling your own story!
It will be for sale at the store dreamingincolor Come out and visit!
