Red Hutch with Chicken Wire

There is blackberry in the house!

and strawberry

and blueberry!

We now carry an assortment of local homemade jams! Since I am located down the street from Historic Oakland House Museum I am hoping to see some tourists this spring and summer. I carry a lot of handmade items from local artisans too.

I was going to put them in this red hutch but it sold.

It was pretty to have for Christmas though. You might have seen it already in this post.

This was one of the first things I made for the store. The chicken wire nearly killed me!
No really!

The shelves were permanent with glass inserts. I had to do back bends to get inside to cut, measure and staple up. Lets just say...I am not as young and limber as I used to be!

This was a different style for me too.

The BEFORE

I have always loved a red hutch but this one took 4 coats of paint!!!!

I kept the pulls on the bottom because they were awesome.
I replaced the one on the door with a fluer de les

I painted the hardware graphite and the inside too.

It was the pop I wanted for my opening. My customer loves it and said her china looks amazing in it.

So what about the jam?

It is going into this one!

So many great things coming in!!

Wish you can all come and see!

Thanks for being here though!

It looks beautiful Deneen! Looks like I'll be back in your area in 2015 for another reunion, so maybe I'll get to see it then!
