So I started with my dollar store pumpkins. Remember these? You tired of them yet?
I am not and I have to admit I have been kinda on a craze. You can check out my other creations by clicking the sidebar!
I started spraying various pumpkins with Krylon's metallic paint. OOOO so pretty! I really wanted something different though.
I remember seeing Vivienne's flannel pumpkins from The V spot and thought it it would look cool to transform these babies with some bling.
Recycling is huge right now and it should be. There is just too much waste.
As I was going through some old costumes my theatre girl isn't using anymore I found these
Satin pants probably from the 70's or 80's. But real cool if you need it for a costume.
Can anyone sing "Staying Alive"? uh uh uh uh Staying alllliiiiiiiiveee!
Ooops sorry.....
Anyway I cut the pant leg and wrapped the pumpkin and tied it with a rubber band like this
Trimmed the excess material from the stem and wrapped with jute. I wanted a nice long stem!
I love it and I added it to a sparkly pumpkin patch!
Before it is all said and done I think I will really have 101!
Very easy project! Quick too!
Shoot! I can't get that dang song out of my head now! Ugh!
Cool! Love the metallic, and it does look easy.
ReplyDeleteLOL....Looks like an awesome patch you've got going there Deneen - and yeah....MUCH better as a pumpkin than pants!! ;o) (Oh - and thank you very little for the song implant...it never was one of my favorites and now it's STUCK!!) !!! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
