disclaimer: Although Annie Sloan Unfolded supplied me with the Napoleonic Blue paint., all opinions are mine in this post.
Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan, has become a staple in my workshop! It is the only paint that I have worked with that gives me the look I am wanting to achieve. Playing around with paint and textures is something I enjoy doing. So what better time to show you my new creation!
Today I am please to be featured on Annie Sloan Unfolded Facebook page! I realize not all colors or techniques appeal to everyone but when you paint a lot of furniture you look for other ways to get results in hopes of reaching a different buyer. Sometimes just introducing it to my current clients gives them a new design and color scheme to incorporate in their decor.
Techniques lead people to think of things differently! One of my most popular posts is my Blue, White and Grey dresser. Also, my Farmhouse dresser where I layered paint to get an old worn out look. So when I came across these antique French night stands I knew I wanted a different technique. This time I even used silver leaf to add to the French Patina Night Stands.

Another French Hutch
I have been MIA for a few days! My laptop bit the dust and I have been on vacation at the beach! Let me just say it is very hard to get back into the swing of things when you have been away!
Before I left, I finished another french hutch! This client wanted the french hutch I did a few months ago but it had sold. So the day I got the email that she wanted to order one, was the day I just happened to find one and was on my way home with it! Funny how these things happen!

Goodbye Google Reader
Only a few short weeks left my friends. Google Reader will be going away. Do you have your favorite blogs set up in another place? A few months ago, I switched over to Bloglovin'. All my blogs were transferred easily over from reader.
I hope you continue to follow me in the switch over. You can go on my sidebar and click the Bloglovin' button! You can also follow through email!! Just make sure you do this before it makes the switch and you will not miss a single thing.
I wanted to give you the heads up in case you haven't heard about it yet.
It is so easy to do because Bloglovin' does it all for you. Just a couple of clicks and it transfers your RSS feed.

Some Accessories for Living Room Redo
It is Friday!!!! I am yard saling today in the neighborhood. It is the bi-annual sale and I will be looking for fun things to add to my spaces I am working on.
As you know I am working on my Sister's living room. We have come up with the colors for the space.
Grey, Yellow and Turquoise. I shopped her house for things I could use in the space first, like the painting I did for her a few Christmas' ago.

The yellow in this oil will go perfectly in the room! I love using original art in a room. Especially my own!!!!!! hee hee

Lot's of little projects getting done too. This one is so cute! I love dressforms and have been making them for awhile. I decided to create a tabletop one.

Living Room Design (A Redo)
How do you design a living room when someone is getting ready to move?
That is my next space. It is my sister's living room. I told you awhile back that we both got the same tufted sofa.
Well she needed it let me tell ya. She had a black leather couch that Goodwill would have turned away. (but they didn't go figure)
When she was a single mom she didn't invest her money in decorating or buying new things. It all went for bills and the kids. We know how that is, right?
Well now that she is married, she is looking to revamp this space. BUT...and this is a big but,
She is not staying in this house long.
