Christmas Open House

Well if you were lucky enough to visit Nolensville yesterday you got a real treat! The Three French Hens was spilling over with Christmas charm. The Roost sparkled and glowed in every room. The other shops participated too to make it worth the trip no matter which direction you were coming from.

The window was decorated in a "groovy" Christmas look. I took this picture at night so you could see it better. Look at that chair....beautiful!

The lobby was so inviting.

As you entered the store the aroma of beautifully scented soaps and candles filled the air.

Around the corner you enter my booth

I have a mixture of new and old

My mantle all decorated

An antique trunk filled with things from Santa
The Christmas tree is adorned with handmade bird ornaments and scarves, topped with a crotchet hat.

It was a lot of work but it is now fully decorated for Christmas! Ready for people to come buy it all!!!

Over at The Roost

Betty greets you with her sweet smile!

They have a new clothing section this season!

Yummy treats await at both stores!

As you can see these stores are filled with wonderful gift ideas.  It really is a treat shopping there all year long!
If you are in the area, would love for you to come see my booth! Let me know when you do!

It is time to start your Christmas shopping!

Thank You Party 3

Having blogger friends that read and comment on my posts are so important to having a good blog! I try my best to thank everyone that has commented or featured my blog at one time or another. It NEVER seems enough. I don't have a linky party on my site so I decided in order to truly thank them I would have a Thank You Party!

What is a Thank You Party?
It is my way of giving back! I do this by Showcasing YOU! You read and comment the most!
All I ask is that you read this and GO VISIT the person. If you like them please follow them but that is up to you. If you do, you will be glad you did because they are truly sincere in what they write on your posts and who knows, you might want them to follow you too!

You might be next! I like comments so I am going to start doing this hopefully every week!

Let me introduce talented Cassie from Primitive and Proper!

Hi there!  I am Cassie from Primitive & Proper and I am so excited to be over here today at Dreaming in Color!  You all know that Deneen is ridiculously talented, and sweet, so I am flattered honored stoked surprised  just so happy that she asked me to be here today!

Like Deneen, I redo a lot of furniture that I share on my blog, and I also host a weekly party where you can share your own furniture makeovers!  Lately I have been lighter on the furniture makeovers though because I have been busy decorating my new house!  Here it is in the CRAZY October snow we had!

I just finished getting our guest room together, which included a few furniture makeovers as well.  You can see the full post here, but here are a couple of pictures, because we all know a post is no good without pictures!

That dresser above is one of the pieces I painted for the room.  Dressers are always my absolute favorites to paint!  Here are some of my favorites from the Ghost of Primitive & Proper Past....

Here is a fun orange dresser I painted for my pal Cristi's daughter's room....

This little aqua stenciled piece was a fun one to do!

This ombre dresser I kept and is now in my daughter's room in our new house!

I love to use a variety of colors, and this cobalt blue dresser was a fun one to try!

The look of this gray dresser was created using deck stains! I love the washed and worn look!
And this last striped dresser is one of my all time favorites in my favorite colors!

Like I said, dressers are my favorite pieces to work on!  I love that they can be finished in so many different colors and styles and can go from plain to wow with a simple paint treatment!
Thank you SO much, Deneen, for having me here today!  I hope you will hop over to my blog some time and say hi!

Remember if you like what you see comment or better yet follow her!

Container Store Sneak Preview and Blogging Event and Presents

The Container Store is finally opening in Green Hills, Tennessee on Nov 5th. No more having to drive to Atlanta just to shop there. With 25,000 square feet of organizing frills, I am sure you can find something to meet your needs. Even though the company has been around since 1978, this will be the first for this area.

The Container Store is located at Green Hills Mall next to Panera. As you can see the gloomy day didn't keep me from attending.

They invited area bloggers to a lunch and tour of the new facility.
We ate a sandwich, cookie and chips as Alexandra told us all the special things the store offers.

Alexandra told us about all of the organizing products and fun facts like the 540 different kitchen products, the special hanger mold exclusive to the Container Store so the hanger doesn't snag your clothes, and all the little things that make their customers so happy "they do a happy dance in the closet!"

I met up with Michele from The Scrap Shoppe. She was the one that told me about this. Thanks Michele!

The store was beautiful.

Some of my favorite things.... office storage Elfa system has been around a while and they have everything imaginable to create units for different rooms. With adjustable racks for hooks, baskets, and shelving. They even have people to help create your space!
Garage storage

tons of trash cans

beautiful hooks

LOVE these colors of little drawers

wrapping paper galore

fun tape in all colors and styles

fabric storage boxes

So much more to see. If you haven't been to a store yet, go! If you live close go to the Grand Opening on Nov 5th. 10% off the proceeds of the grand opening sales will go to benefit The Minnie Pearl Foundation. Best of all if you order online you can pick it up at the store at the drive thru! Just ring the bell and they deliver it to your door!

We received a wonderful gift bag for coming!

Filled with tons of goodies

It was a special day! The Container Store also invited us to a dinner and dance at the store at night but unfortunately I could not attend.

They had several food stations that they will set up in each section of the store. There were beautiful flower arrangements that will go with each food station.

I could get used to these events!

Michele and I were happy to have been there and we got to see each other again too!

After the event I went shopping only to lock my keys in the car! It has been a very eventful week for me. Needless-to-say I guess I need to slow down and take a breath.

When I arrived home a package was waiting for my from Sissy's Shabby Cottage.

This beautiful Pillow and tote with a Paris tag!

It was a giveaway I had won.

I love blogging! It makes the day exciting...

and sometimes even cheers you up!
