How to make Santa Legs

I am so excited about this project!
It was so much fun to do.

The holidays are quickly approaching and the decorating begins! I have worked on getting the tree trimmed and now I am concentrating on something special. Since children of all ages enjoy the magic of Santa Claus. I thought it would be fun to create a project with him in mind.

Once again I headed to Old Time Pottery for all the supplies.

Then my mind went crazy.

I love it because you can do so much with this idea. Makes a great centerpiece for a table too. For all the instructions on how to make these head on over to Old Time Pottery!

It is an easy project to add some Christmas fun to your home. The kids will love it too.

HO! Ho! HO!

Ice Skate Wreath

I was never really good at ice skating. My parent's got me lessons one year and I remember being really excited.

Growing up in New Jersey, it was the thing to do.

We had a shallow lake near by that would freeze over in the winter. Everyone would go skate on it when it got cold.

And sometimes, if I was really lucky, I would get to go to NYC and skate in Rockefeller Center!

Dreamingincolor Christmas Open House

It has been so surreal to be getting my own store ready for Christmas.

We are close to opening!!

I keep adding to the outside decorations but the first picture I took became my postcard for my Open House.

Paper Christmas Trees

What a great way to say Happy Holidays or in the case "Hollydays"!

This is an easy project that would make a great Christmas decoration or gift.

I took three clay pots and painted them with chalk paint.
Cut foam to fit inside.
Placed a wooden skewer in the center.
Cut squares of Hymnals in graduated sizes and poked pages to the top.
Added green moss and snow to cover foam.

My idea was to find a holly graphic from The Graphics Fairy and transfer the image to the pot.

You could use any image. Karen always has the best ones. The are so many to choose from. I liked the vintage Santa too.  Just modpodge and use printed image print side down on pot and rub really well. Thats it! peel up and the calk paint absorbs the image right away.

I used a sharpie and hand wrote "Happy Hollydays" on the other trees pots.

I think these would look cute on a fireplace mantel.

I love quick easy projects like this!

What image would you try?
