Paper Christmas Trees

What a great way to say Happy Holidays or in the case "Hollydays"!

This is an easy project that would make a great Christmas decoration or gift.

I took three clay pots and painted them with chalk paint.
Cut foam to fit inside.
Placed a wooden skewer in the center.
Cut squares of Hymnals in graduated sizes and poked pages to the top.
Added green moss and snow to cover foam.

My idea was to find a holly graphic from The Graphics Fairy and transfer the image to the pot.

You could use any image. Karen always has the best ones. The are so many to choose from. I liked the vintage Santa too.  Just modpodge and use printed image print side down on pot and rub really well. Thats it! peel up and the calk paint absorbs the image right away.

I used a sharpie and hand wrote "Happy Hollydays" on the other trees pots.

I think these would look cute on a fireplace mantel.

I love quick easy projects like this!

What image would you try?

New Ornaments!

Well Thanksgiving is over and I am still full! Thankful to have had a wonderful day with my family. The turkey was great and so was all the goodies! The only problem.....my refrigerator broke! Not a good time for this to happen with all the Thanksgiving leftovers. Thank God I have one in my garage. I spent the last part of the night emptying one and transferring food to the other. So I guess I will be shopping today looking for great black Friday deal!

I wanted to show you all my new bird and owl ornaments that I put on Etsy. You can also order one on this page! They all come wrapped too! If you are out of the US please email me for postal rate.

Shop now and get some of that Christmas giving done!

Shabby Chic picture Frames

I had a wonderful weekend enjoying the beauty of fall. The trees are turning and winter will soon peek its little head out. Christmas is in the stores before we can even "Give Thanks" at Thanksgiving! To me there is one little thing that says fall all over it.

Pinecones! They dress up mantles and get filled in vases. Some even get painted.

Mine got cut! Many many pieces of pine cones.

I recently purchased some antique frames that I painted and distressed. I added some pine cone flowers to decorate the corner. I think these will make a great gift. For Christmas maybe I will tie a red velvet ribbon around the frame to hang it from.

I painted some old frames in old white and waxed and distressed them

I added flower pine cones to the frames

I even made some small ones to go with the large one
Frames are always a great gift. This just has that little somethin'

I think it is a great project to do for Christmas but any time will do! A gift for any occasion!
