This is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.
I never really care for the typically Valentine decor probably because I like to make most of my things.
Although I have tons of holiday decor I love creating new things.
This year, I found something that can be used all year long. I wasn't sure how I would use it.
I decided to use it in a tablescape.
So I started with a little color
...and a little LOVE!
I found this awesome blackboard and chicken wire board at Old Time Pottery. I knew this would be something I could use over and over again. I used pink and black colors. I figured I could use this in my office redo when I am through. I love the chalkboard and I wanted to do a sweet quote on it.
Valentine's Day is about love. So I thought it would be appropriate to write...
"and the greatest is love"
because it really is isn't it?
love became the main word so I created a banner with ribbon and letters
The letters I actually got from a foam puzzle. Yes, you heard right. Little trick!
I used a permanent marker and colored over the foam
(Hint: when you are done using the letters the board becomes a stencil)
then glued it to the top of the ribbon to spell out L O V E and tied it to the chicken wire
I added a love note to a bottle using tissue paper and made a message in a bottle
I rolled the tissue paper in a tube and pinch and unfolded layers to look like a rose.
This becomes my Valentine card in this pretty crackled glass bottle
I added this all to my table along with other decor from Old Time Pottery
Festive and colorful! Isn't it?
Now I need to come up with a dinner plan!
As you can see I didn't forget the chocolate.
Hope you are surrounded by lots of love!
Happy Valentine's Day!
