I want to share a little project with you. You might have seen a sneak peek of it in my table top dress form post.
When my daughter was little we would look for the girly things to decorate with. She loved sparkly things, pink and purple, crowns, Paris, Broadway....................Um come to think of it, she is still like that!
When I came across this thrift store jewelry box, it bought back memories of that sweet little girl.
It looks like a tiny dresser with little knobs! Time to restyle a vintage jewelry box!
I painted it with Decorative Chalk Paint ® by Annie Sloan in Antionette.
I added jewelry in all the compartments. I still wanted something else. So I went to The Graphic's Fairy and looked for a graphic to add to the top . This time I decide on a water Decal. Carol from The Polka Dot Closet uses them all the time so I decided to add a little something to the top. It is just what it needed to give it that something special.
Love printing on these decals. There are so many projects you can use them for.
This even gives it a grown up feel. So don't pass up those worn out jewelry boxes you find at thrift store. The can become wonderful accent pieces for your home.
Even "Daddy's little girl" would approve of this one! Give decals a try!

Loving it Deneen - how pretty!
I guess you're like me - nothing is safe from a can of paint - imagine a dresser like that?????

This is really cute Deneen! I ALWAYS pass these up when I see them. Now, I may have to change my mind.
Now see what you've started, now all the discarded jewelry boxes will be purchased and redone? Good for you. I think it's always great to have an older jewelry box, they can add so much personality to a dresser, shelf, wherever it's placed.
I hadn't heard of water decals to print on, where do you get those babies? It's hard to keep up with all the little gadgets to use for crafting.
About that trip to the beach, where do you go? We're kinda too far away but our little state park lake will do, it's only about 7 1/2 miles from our house. Happy Summer
I did notice this in your other post! I love it! I cannot wait to learn all of these techniques and be inspired by something I find for a song! Lovely project girl!
