Butterfly table and a winner

I am feverishly getting ready for my move into the store. Things have been crazy and my house is destroyed! Tomorrow is move in day!
I found this table at a sale last weekend and decided to get it ready for the store.

I was looking to do something for a garden area or bedside table and came up with this.

This is what it looked like before:

This is what it looks like now!

I decided to paint something on top to give it some interest.

I sanded away a lot of the paint to distress it.
Do you think I should sand more of the butterfly? I couldn't decide.
Not only did blogger keep going down but now picassa web is screwing up. Very frustrating!

Remember the giveaway? I am glad I kept it up for 2 weeks with the mess with blogger.
The winner of the coffee sack slip is.....

Don't worry...not you? Go to my Etsy shop to order one now!

Love your makeover! I love sanding... It would look very vintage with more sanding on the butterfly, but it's also very pretty as it is! I did a table exactly the same shape several years ago in a beachy theme!
Thank you for linking to Farmgirl Friday!

That table is the perfect little garden accent - too sweet! I guess if you're looking for opinions, I'd maybe sand the butterfly just a wee bit - not much tho 'cuz it's looking really good as it is! Congratulations to Veronica - lucky gal!!! And thank you, again, Deneen, for hostessing another wonderful giveaway. I'm sure Veronica is tickled pink! Good luck with the store debut! I can't tell for sure from the provided image if the butterfly should be distressed more. I think I would have to see more pics or see it in person. But, I will say that distressing the painted elements, even important parts, usually makes the piece look more authentically time worn. It's a beauty though. :)
