Having blogger friends that read and comment on my posts are so important to having a good blog! I try my best to thank everyone that has commented or featured my blog at one time or another. It NEVER seems enough. I don't have a linky party on my site so I decided in order to truly thank them I would have a Thank You Party!
What is a Thank You Party?
It is my way of giving back! I do this by Showcasing YOU! You read and comment the most!
All I ask is that you read this and GO VISIT the person. If you like them please follow them but that is up to you. If you do, you will be glad you did because they are truly sincere in what they write on your posts and who knows, you might want them to follow you too!
You might be next! I like comments so I am going to start doing this hopefully every week!
Now I would like to introduce you to Tammy from Type A!
Wow, I'm actually here at Dreaming In Color! Pinch me! Alright already, I think you just gave me a virtual bruise. lol
I know I'm a cracked pot, my son calls me crazy, I take it as he loves me and thinks I'm original.
I'm just excited to be here, I love Deneen and her blog! She always inspires me, and has a great eye for COLOR and design. Thanks Deneen for letting me be a guest, a true highlight to my blog career!
Okay, so I'm Tammy from Type A, and as I'm typing this I'm watching my puppy do unmentionable things to his elephant and I'm drinking way to much coffee, so bare with me!
Here's a shot of the happy family at Disney. It's kinda funny, half the picture looks happy, and the other half grumpy, can you pick out the grumpy ones?
I'm mom, a wife and now a blogger. Funny thing, I really don't remember what I used to do for fun before Type A came along. I really enjoy my blog and all things blogging. I love checking out everyone else's blogs and meeting new friends, even if it isn't in person. Some day I would love to meet all of you!
I started blogging last Summer, partly cause a friend was doing it and partly because I needed a creative outlet. My hubby has been working in the Middle East for the last two years, first in Iraq and now in Afghanistan, so I needed an outlet to destress. I don't have to tell you how hard it is being a single mom.
I didn't actually know I was crafty until he left. I all of a sudden started decorating my house and doing projects, so it's not true when they say you can't teach an old dog...
My first purchase was a glue gun, and it scared me. I really thought I was gonna burn my hand beyond recognition or something crazy. I eventually bought an orbital sander and an electric staple gun, so I'm past my fear of tools. I even own a kiln that heats up to 1500 degrees, so I'm past the scaredy part.
Here's the proof, this is the BEFORE of my living room.
AFTER, do you see the difference? We painted.
I love to craft, even started sewing, really getting past my fears of the unknown. Just like with blogging, I was scared at first. All those questions going over and over in my mind. Like, will I bore people to death? or Will folks like me? It's all seems like a dream now.
With Christmas around the corner I wanted to share a post from last year. I know you've seen the paper wreath tutorial all over blog land, probably a zillion times, so no tutorial, just the after.
I've gotten so crafty I even NEEDED a craft hutch!
I love to collect too, pretty much anything really. Right now I'm filling my garage to the brim, for the next house. I know how crazy that sounds, no we aren't under contract or anything, but we will be some day. I really hate the idea of missing out on a piece of furniture I might need or love. Okay, so my garage looks like an episode of Hoarders, I'm not gonna lie.
This was taken last week.
Literally taken two minutes ago. Now the only problem, I'm out of room, so if I do come across something I have to have I'm gonna have to get storage space. I would say I'd just repeat this look in the house, but that would seriously upset my type A-ness. Plus I already have seating for eight in the master bedroom.
I'm so glad to be sharing this at Dreaming In Color, hopefully the hubby won't be reading this. I have one of those stalker type Hubbies and its gonna be hard enough to hide this when he comes home in January. Do you think he would fall for, the garage doors are broken? Or maybe I could tell him I'm renting the garage out and this is somebody elses crap treasures?
Hmmm, I'll think about it some more.
So please stop buy Type A some time and say "Hi", I would love to hear from you. Plus you should check me out just for my two weekly parties and all the GIVE AWAYS I do. I have a GIVE AWAY going on right now, and every Tuesday-Thursday and Friday-Sunday I have a party.
Thanks Deneen for having me over, it's been a blast!
Thanks Tammy!!
And thank you all for coming here, following me, reading and commenting on my page!

I loved meeting Tammy!! Something about her sense of humor kind of strikes a chord...or perhaps it's that I think I'd feel at home in her garage? Will pop on over and check her out soon! Happy Friday! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Fantastic living room makeover! I love it!
Lol..seating for eight in the Master Bedroom. I quite understand. I used to have a garage (and two spare rooms) like this.
