Don't forget to ENTER the GIVEAWAY!!!
I am so excited. It is January 28th and I am living up to my "Word" of the year. I firmly believe you have to write things down and visualize your goals. You also have to get off your butt and do something about it!!
I really want to travel more. My husband surprised me for Christmas and wants to take me somewhere I choose. I really want to go overseas. I have never traveled to Europe. I have been to a few islands but never Europe.
One problem. I need to get a passport. I can't believe I have never applied for one. How can I travel out of the US without one? That is what I mean. If you have it, you will have more of a chance of using it!
So guess what came in the mail this weekend?
I feel a little closer to the dream! Now I have to decide where I am going for sure and plan a trip.
I am leaning towards.....

oooh i have never been to europe! take me with you! ;)
I vote for Italy, too! I wrote a post about our trip there last June. If you Google Just Grand Italian Kalaidescope, you can go straight to the post. I don't want to put a link in this comment or it might go to your spam folder! And remember, the planning is half the fun!
Yay for getting your passport!
And speaking of traveling, I'm traveling to SNAP! that Wednesday before it happens so I need you to be my travel buddy, mkay? :)
Italy rocks! Of course there is the canals of venice, the ruins in rome, the churches in florence, the coast and beaches of calabria and positano- as well as the hill sides of tuscany. I took a Fodor's book with me and went on a bus tour around Italy. It is a great choice! (Just watch out for the pick-pockets).
Hugs!
Sandy
Thanks Sandy! I have no clue! Never been abroad. Did you fly into Rome? Do you suggest doing it all by land or take a cruise? Not sure what to do!
Wow! Congratulations on getting your passport! I diffenently would pick Italy, I wish I could go too!!
Have Fun!!
Yes to Florence, Pisa, and of course Rome. Do get Fodor's book. It is life changing. Take it all in and savor every moment!
Thanks Mary! I guess I should get that book. A couple of people said to get it.
I'm so happy for you!! I don't travel as much as I like but I have been to Italy and Paris......JUST wonderful! I've been to Africa on a mission trip and am going to mexico for a mission trip in the summer. I speak french and if you need an interpreter for France, just let me know...throw me a bottle of wine and a baguette now and then...I'm a cheap companion.....LOL
Italy is a great choice! So beautiful and so much history. You will love it.
you'll have fun in my homeland! We are also going to Italy this year! (but that's not a big deal for us since we get to go every other year)

I have to laugh at the timing of my post re: Positano. So fitting. You can tell I'm smitten with Italy. As far as Europe is concerned, I've been to England, France, Spain, and Italy. For me, Italy takes the cake and has a little bit of it all.
In all honesty, of the places I've been to language was a bit of an issue in Italy compared to the others, but we still made it!
And I dream of going back ALL.THE.TIME.
If you have more specific questions I can try to answer them! LMK.
