As you know I am working on my Sister's living room. We have come up with the colors for the space.
Grey, Yellow and Turquoise. I shopped her house for things I could use in the space first, like the painting I did for her a few Christmas' ago.
The yellow in this oil will go perfectly in the room! I love using original art in a room. Especially my own!!!!!! hee hee
Then I hit some stores. We are on a budget so I am spending wisely. I wanted some pillows for the furniture. I don't like to have them matching. I choose like colors and coordinate the prints.
I was careful not to have too much of one color.
I loved the graphic on this one! Too cute!
I took an old headboard she had laying in her garage. I will be using it for something fun in the room.
There is still a lot to do. I am hoping to get there this weekend to finish more. I will be moving the sofa and chair to the main wall. Building layers and color is what I am aiming for. I will be looking for an area rug too.
Cable got put in for the flat screen and the entertainment cabinet is out of the room! So is the stationary bike! Thank God!!! Time to move some furniture!
Stay tuned....

I hope you found some good items at the yard sales.
Ooooh, I love the cubby cabinet. It's perfect for any room and those pillows are great to build a color scheme around. Great start to a new room. Can't wait to see the finished result.
I am so happy to know of you thru this blog, you are such a talented painter, you're incredible. I envy your sister having you restyle her living room.
Can hardly wait to see it when you're done. If your painting and the pillows you bought are any indication it will be a fantastic redo. Again, your sister is very lucky to have you. How fun for you.
ummmm...I'm kinda wishing you were my sister right now. You painted that picture? So cool! I'm also anxious to see what you do with that little storage thing.
@srpprcrftr you are always so sweet! I am lucky to have a good sister so I don't mind helping out! I just hope she likes it!
