Funny how you can do something again and again and wind up with different results.
That's what happens every year I go to Haven.
I have been going to Haven for three years! The first year I went was the first year Haven was started. I had met Rhoda when we were shooting a pilot for HGTV and she told me about her vision.
I knew that it would be a good fit for me. I had a lot to learn though. I never had been to a blogging conference and didn't know what to do. I thought the vendors like Ryobi, Home Depot, and Kregg were there to sell me something or just wanted my info to send me tons of emails. Boy was I wrong! I quickly learned that the vendors that came were there to work with bloggers. They knew that social media was the place to put their efforts. Bloggers can really be a voice!
That started a whole new world for me. I knew that season 2 would be making relationships with my favorites. Ryobi being my number one!
Ryobi has been so kind to me. They really want to work with us. They appreciate what we do. They know how to have fun too!
This year I went to Haven as a blogger and new store owner. My relationships crossed over. Some of the vendors will be working with me by incorporating products in my store. Even some bloggers will be part of it. Haven has grown with me. I wasn't sure how this year would go. I mean, can I mix blogging with my business? The answer is YES!
I went with my friend Tilina this year. We were roomies! I wanted to introduce her to the conference. She is new at this but I knew she would quickly fall in love. We talked for hours every night which led to us being exhausted the next day. Thank God Homes.com supplied us with some cool shades to hide our tired eyes!
We had fun in the sessions goofing off learning so much!
I met up with some old friends and made new ones.
Karen is always so much fun. Wish we got to hang out more.
Mike Holmes was such a nice guy. Even though it was a short meeting I really enjoyed his humor.
Ryobi taught me how to use the new Airstriker Stapler I had won. This will be my new favorite tool.
Ryobi and Home Depot had another fun party complete with a fajita bar, fondue bar and ice cream bar too!
They never disappoint! Music and Towel dancers were provided too! (wink)
We had a blast! Oh and this is what I came home with.
Half is mine.
My swag bag was light when I first arrived but wow when I got home and spread it out I realized how much great stuff I received! Thanks to all the vendors!!
So when is Haven 4?
I think I am ready!

Hi Deneen,
So great to hear about your Haven experiences! Hopefully I will be able to make it down next year. Everyone seems to have the best time each year and there is so much to learn too!
