Coffee Sack Pillows

20" Coffee Sack Pillow Slipcovers

OK Friends this is what I have been waiting to show you! Aren't these awesome!

I am so excited to be showing you my Coffee Sack Pillows!
I only have a few right now in a couple of patterns.

The best thing about these is that I designed them to be sewn to have a different pattern on the back! So its like getting a whole different pillow! Kind of a Two for one look! I am all about that!

I love them all! They are so cool!
The problem is I only have a few so if you are interested I am offering it to you first. They will be on a first come first serve basis. These are very popular right now so don't hesitate.

Made from up-cycled burlap coffee sacks with bold Graphics and great colors. They have tiny imperfections in the material that give these a unique and original worn appeal. They can be turned around for a completely different look. Top zipper is sewn in for easy adding and removal of pillow.
Pillow insert not included.

I hope you like these as much as I do! Leave me a comment and let me know which one you like!

My Sister's Shower

Well it was a busy weekend! Sorry I didn't post but I wanted to make sure I put all my efforts into making this day special for my sister Toni.

Its funny that when you are small you never realize how much a sibling will mean to you as you get older. We used to pull each others hair out and pinch till we broke skin. I know, horrible! Now I can't imagine what I would do without her! She has always been there for me, that's what make this day special! Now I can do something for her!

All in all I think it came out nice.

I made chicken salad croissants, fresh fruit salad, shrimp, strawberry spinach salad with strawberry vinaigrette, pinwheel sandwiches, champagne punch and sangria. The colors were Tiffany Blue and black.

The desserts were strawberry cheese tarts, raspberry cake and my mom made chocolate truffles. I made little "Tiffany" boxes to put truffles in for the Thank You favor.

It was an intimate crowd that made it perfect to be able to sit and talk and visit for awhile!
She got a lot of great gifts too!

I got the dish set she registered for at Macy's. I fell in love with the colors and pattern so I had to get her the 4 place settings. I also got the serving bowl and platter to go with it!

I also gave her my painting of "Rhythm"  that she wanted to go in her new home.

I think she had a great time and she seemed so happy. Although she is tired and probably a little stressed with the wedding around the corner. She was able to sit and laugh and enjoy the day!

We will always be there for each other. This is the time we celebrate! Now its time to plan a wedding reception!

But first I have a Memorial Day Picnic coming up I have to shop for so another busy week!

I will be doing a Giveaway soon so stay tuned! Tomorrow I get to show you something awesome....I can't wait!

http://www.etsy.com/shop/micuccidesigns
I would love to know what you would like to see at the shop! Please leave me a comment!

LOOK who came to visit me this morning!

Flopsy! Yes I named him......I love watching these little guys......so adorable!

Anyway with the shower coming up I am hard at work coming up with some nice decor for the big day. I made a banner for the mantle.

Started out with pretty scrapbook paper and a punch.

I cut one with a scalloped edge and one a plain circle.

Different patterns and colors. I got some chipboard letters that were gold and spray painted them black. Gotta love paint!

This one needs one more coat. I came up with the words I wanted and applied these to the circles.
I started with pom poms and ribbon that I bought and added the words by pinning it to the ribbon.

Fall In Love

I am such a romantic! I think it looks great and its classy. Love working with letters.
Cute for any party. Adds a great touch.

Need to do much more!

Wait till you see what is going in my shop next week! I can't wait to show you all!

Good News and Chalkboards

Yesterday was a great day! Sold another Ticket Sign and won a Hobby Lobby gift card from Junker Newbie!  I also opened my Etsy Shop. The signs are in it and I will be adding more things over the next few weeks! The URL is http://www.etsy.com/shop/micuccidesigns
I hope you will all visit it and let everyone know about it!

All of this on a day of running around like a mad woman. So why doesn't this happen all the time...nothing changed? I do appreciate it though!

As I was spraying the arrow sign with the chalkboard paint, I decided to do a couple of more. This is a fun fast project you just gotta try.

One for my daughter's room....

Notice the chalk on the bottom!

Love the detailing on this one. It replaces the other Bon Appetit sign I did a while back. I changed that one for now to this...

I will be using it as a decoration for the shower.

Each one has a different look! I really love playing around with this stuff! Off to do some more planning!
Do you have any really neat ideas for a wedding shower? Let me know!

Thank you and Shower!

Thanks to YOU yes YOU for commenting, voting, or just being a friend! I have enjoyed all of you!!
I am almost at 300 followers! HURRAY! I want to know what you are interested in as a giveaway.
Please leave me a comment letting me know so I can decide. I thought about doing a monogrammed painting customized for you. Let me know if you would like this or something else.

May is so busy with weddings, graduations, showers, and Memorial Day. It is hard to find time for anything else. I am getting ready for my sister's Wedding Shower. It will be small and intimate. I am so happy for her and I am looking forward to celebrating her wedding!

This is us a long time ago at Palisades Park, New Jersey! An amusement park that is no longer there but is historical, it had a song about it in the 50"s. We used to go when we were small and I think it closed in the 70's. I just love her sweet face in this! She is the one on the right.

I scanned it from an old button my mom had. The picture was fading away and I just wanted to preserve it some way.  Too cute!

Now on to the project....

I made a Chalkboard arrow sign for her wedding but decided to use it for the shower too.

Draw an arrow shape on some wood.

Then cut it out with a hand saw.

sand all the edges and flat sides

Drill a hole for the ribbon to go through. If you are making one hold it with two fingers to center the weight before drilling the arrow or it will point up and down instead of horizontal.

Spray with chalkboard paint. A few coats and then use chalk all over to prime the board for writing.

I hung it on a wreath hanger and it will go outside when ready. I rubbed off some of the "T" oops!
I think this is a cute idea. Since the reception for the wedding is in the backyard, this will also be used  to direct people back there. I think I will use it for our annual Memorial Day picnic too! Lots of possibilities!

Before I forget a big thank you to Dawn at The Feathered Nest for showing the ticket sign she won on her site! Congrats Dawn!
Also thank you to Sassy Sites Type A  Banuca Birseyler for featuring my dessert tray! You are all too sweet!!!

Please check your email settings. A lot of you are no-reply emails and I can't respond back to you. I want to comment so make sure you have that fixed before you leave another one!

Have a Great Day!

Coffee Bag Chair

One of the great things I gotto do this weekend was hang out with Middle Tennessee Bloggers. We had a blast and found some coffee bags. I have been wanting to get some for some projects.

I got an antique chair this past weekend at a sale. I wasn't sure if I should paint it or not. I am still not sure. What do you think?

It is in great shape. I could have even kept the blue fabric on the chair but after I got the coffee bags I knew I wanted it to go here!

Love the color and the letters on this bag. I can't wait to make some pillows too!

Updated Post:....The Pillows are Here!!!!

I think it goes better with the color and style of the chair. What do you think?
Paint it or leave it?

My first coffee bag chair! Ready for a new project to do with them!
