French Nightstand

This raspberry color is beautiful. I mixed some colors to get this. I get tired of painting the same colors. We all know the neutrals sell great but colors are really selling too now.

I sell a lot of color. I am glad since it really goes with my name...Dreamingincolor!

This french nightstand was screaming PINK!

Duck Egg Table

Duck Egg table or should I say bunny table.....

Sometimes you make things and wind up NEEDING what you make.

Now that spring is here I wanted to paint something cheery

I love duck egg and purchased this new little table. I just replaced the knob with a little bling and I was in love.

When I completed it I knew it would be the perfect place to display my little bunny for Easter.

I placed it my breakfast nook. It matched my china cabinet that I painted last summer. If you were here you might remember that was a project.

It looks like spring now.

It is a far cry from the before....

I love the shape and the lines of the table. It has a drawer and shelf below which is useful.

My favorite thing about painting furniture is being able to keep pieces till I tire of them.

Sometimes the bad thing about painting furniture is finding places in your house to put them till you are

This place works. Till Easter anyway. My bunny has a place to sit to make this area feel a little more like spring.

Duck egg in springtime.....and a bunny with a new home

I love my new little piece of furniture.

Compass Table

I love to paint furniture. I really love to hand paint it also. Like my Audrey Hepburn Dresser, Butterfly Table and French Tea Cart to name a few. When I bought this little vintage round table I was going to paint a clock face on it, instead I went nautical.

It didn't start out this way. It was a dark stained table. I painted it white for a base coat. I wanted some of the white to come through when it was distressed.

I started with my projector but soon found that the circles didn't fit right so I drew it by hand. This happens a lot with projectors. As long as you can figure out the dimensions and what looks good to the eye you will make it work.

I also wanted to make this two-toned, I painted and mixed blue with white for the bottom. The top was painted old white. I didn't stop there though.

I wanted the top to look old like and old map. I painted the lines grey and the used dark wax to distress it more I sanded roughly. Then I dry brushed white on top of it.

This will go down with my favorites. I think it is fun to add a twist to furniture. Painting can help and give you the variety you are looking for when you want something different. Have you ever hand painted furniture?

I also want to tell you about a barn sale that is coming to Pulaski, Tennessee called Bella Rustica. I will be a vendor. Click and check it out. It will be located at Milky Way farm. A beautiful place.Ya'll come shop!!!

Display Case side table and more

Today is a very special day! A day when my life was changed........

For the better......

because of this beautiful baby.....

Happy Birthday!  I love you!

.......Now for the redo....

I found this old display case. It was originally from The Bombay Company.

It has a cute little drawer in the front and curvy legs!

I painted it black and removed the grey board from the inside of the piece to upholster it.

I used an old coffee sack for the fabric

Scuffed up the paint and waxed

The top opens so you can display items

You can also display things on the top

I love the artsy feel to the piece now.

Before

After

Oh and I sold my piano bench last week. Funny right after I sold it I found another one to redo!

Now to think up something different!

Hope you stop a moment to appreciate the beauty of the day!
