Red Hutch with Chicken Wire

There is blackberry in the house!

and strawberry

and blueberry!

We now carry an assortment of local homemade jams! Since I am located down the street from Historic Oakland House Museum I am hoping to see some tourists this spring and summer. I carry a lot of handmade items from local artisans too.

I was going to put them in this red hutch but it sold.

It was pretty to have for Christmas though. You might have seen it already in this post.

Fireplace Screen

When I opened my store Dreamingincolor, I wanted to be able to offer unique and creative handmade items. Something that sets us apart.

Something that showcases my art and others.

That is why I loved working on this project.

I like combining different pieces together to form an art piece. Like when I used an antique table leg seen here.

It is my funky junk that helped create this piece!

Building a Kitchenette (Part 1)

My son is a very talented guy! I have wrote about him before talking about his talent as a musician and songwriter.
He also can tackle projects and learn as he goes like most of us bloggers and DIY'ers.

When he decided to renovate his home this little transformation he actually documented. He wrote this and I told him I was going to share it on my blog for people that have small spaces they need to redo. Hope this helps. It is in two parts because of its length.

Yellow French Hutch

Well it has been a crazy January.
I am sure everyone is getting back to a routine after Christmas.

I have missed all of you.

It is not like I don't have anything to show and tell you about.
There is so much that I am behind. I still haven't finished writing about my Italy trip!

I wanted to come up with my "word" of the year too. sigh.... I guess I am behind!

What I will be able to show you right now is my new hutch for spring!

What better way to celebrate the new year.

A new year brings lots of hopes and possibilities. It is fun to look back to know the things you have accomplished and how to set goals for the future.

So lets get started...

January

I will start out with my coffee sack Lavender Hearts. I loved this project because of the rustic feel. I got to use my scraps too!
