Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! I have been busy getting ready for my trip to Italy! It is fast approaching and I am soo excited!!
Before I leave I have some people to talk about and thank!
A few months ago a blogger friend came down to Tennessee for a family reunion, Danni from Silo Hill Farm. It was the first time I got to meet her in person. We met in Franklin at the Carnton House.
The Carton House is rich with history. On November 30, 1864, Carnton was witness to one of the bloodiest battles of the entire Civil War.
Although such a gruesome act took place here, the house was beautiful and so are the grounds. Attached to the side was a beautiful garden perfect for a stroll.
The best part of the day was talking to Danni. We went to the town of Franklin for lunch and shopped around at area antique and gift shops. It was like we knew each other forever! She is a sweetheart.
Another blogger friend Lorraine from Miss Flibbertigibbet deserves a shout out and thank you! She was my roommate at Haven.
She brought me the most beautiful dried hydrangeas because I had said I love them!
She also gave me some new paint to work with. Powder River Paint. It is a clay paint and acts a lot like chalk paint. This is the turquoise color. I used it on a thrift store planter and loved it! Thanks for the samples. She was gracious to give them to all the attendees of Haven. Lorraine sells it on her blog. She also sells Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint.
And last but not least is my new friend Tina from What We Keep. She sent me this adorable embroidered hand towel. Out of the blue! Just to be nice. I mean who doesn't like presents? It is a French Hen! She is so sweet to have thought of me. I always have fun talking with her. We laugh and cut up about so many things.
Come to think of it, she may have ulterier motives!! She wants to go to Italy with me.....she has a plan to get with the recently single GC.............................. But I have plans for him! wink
Blogging has been such a blessing to me. I have met some talented, creative and funny women. I knew I wanted to share them with you too!
I hope you get a chance to go visit them. If you do tell Tina I will send her a photo of me and Clooney!
